Mitsuya Kosaka delivered a lecture titled “Important Provisions on Information Security in Service Contracts” at the Japan Pharmaceutical Industry Legal Affairs Association.

“Important Provisions on Information Security in Service Contracts” The purpose of this lecture is to examine measures to ensure data security at service providers. The lecturer explained the details and the degree of measures that are expected to be taken with respect to the following three points: (i) formulating the basis for selecting an appropriate company as a service provider; (ii) entering into a service contract with provisions to secure necessary and sufficient security measures and their effectiveness; and (iii) knowing the status of implementation of security measures at the service provider, based on laws, regulations and guidelines for cybersecurity.
